Arkansas Bigfoot Conference and Boot Camp May 3rd, 2014 in Vilonia, Arkansas!!!!!!

Full Details For Beachfoot 2014, July 24th-27th!!!!!!

The American Primate Foundation presents…
BEACHFOOT 2014
July 24th thru 27th

You are cordially invited to join us for the 7th Annual BEACHFOOT celebration. This special (invitation only) gathering is designed to provide a unique opportunity for Bigfoot researchers and enthusiasts to network and socialize in a relaxed and casual setting along the beautiful Central Oregon Coast. Last year was our largest gathering ever with nearly 80 guests converging from five countries and 13 states! This year’s gathering promises to be the best ever! And unlike last year, getting to BEACHFOOT should be much easier as we have chosen a new venue…River’s Edge Campground.

Located alongside Highway 34, the campground is situated on the Alsea River! It is a little closer to Portland and has just one single group site. The park has an even larger pavilion, electricity, four vaulted restrooms, drinking water, garbage dumpsters, and plenty of parking.

Our theme this year is “Big Deal!” As usual, our logo (still under design) will be featured on flyers, invitations, wine/beer labels, complimentary commemorative t-shirts and assorted souvenirs. Last year was a big hit and this year promises to be even better!

BONUS DAY!

Since many guests are traveling great distances, we are will continue with the traditional ”travel day.” The campground will be accessible for the “early birds” by noon on Thursday, July 24th. Can’t make it on Thursday? No worries…we don’t intend to start any of the official festivities until Friday night.

SQUATCH-TALK

As usual, there will be three to four special guest speakers providing the latest in contemporary Bigfoot research, theories, encounters, and current research methodologies. Previous distinguished speakers have included: Peter Byrne (author), Ron Morehead (Sierra Sounds), Thomas Steenburg (author), Cliff Barrackman (“Finding Bigfoot” TV show), Diane Stocking (Stocking Hominid Research), Robert Pyle (author), John Cordell (retired investigative detective), and Tim Cassidy (Wildlife Biologist), Oliver Kirk (Warm Springs Tribal Officer), Matthew Hill (BBC reporter), and many others. This year will be no exception.

Wildlife Biologist, Dr. John Bindernagel, has graciously offered to give a talk on his recent research utilizing remote cameras in the British Columbia wilderness. Welcome John and his wife Joan!

Clinical hypnotist, Dr. Douglas Meacham, will give a talk on the brain’s amazing ability to retain massive amounts of memory and how, through hypnosis, it can be recalled in great detail.  I met him at a gathering of the Bigfoot Lunch Club where he gave a presentation; which included an actual video-taped session he conducted with a Bigfoot eyewitness.  I was so amazed, that he and I got together and conducted two hypnosis sessions relating to my sighting.  All I can say is...amazing!  Perhaps we will share some of our findings there. I am sure you will find his talk as fascinating as I did.

We are in the process of lining up two more speakers and will be announcing them shortly.

International award-winning documentary filmmakers Peter and Sheera Von Puttkamer, (Gryphon Films, British Columbia, Canada) are coming to film BEACHFOOT! You may have seen their work on “The Sasquatch Odyssey” film. Together they have produced more than 120 documentaries for such shows as: The Learning Channel, Discovery, Animal Planet, National Geographic, Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, and many more. Recently they traveled to Nepal, where they shot a documentary with Peter Byrne.

GRUB & STUFF

What would BEACHFOOT be without our signature Saturday Potluck Barbeque? Bring a side dish or desert and…of course…your appetite (we will supply the main course). Another tradition is our complimentary Sunday continental breakfast. Nobody goes home hungry. Aside from those two meals, be prepared to fend for yourself…sharing is encouraged.

HIKIN’…FISHIN’ & FOOTIN’

The park is nestled in the beautiful Siuslaw National Forest. Situated alongside the beautiful Alsea River and shaded by Douglas fir, blue spruce, and huckleberry bushes. Roosevelt elk roam the grounds and occasional bald eagles could soar overhead. Cutthroat trout and steelhead are plentiful, so bring your fishing gear. Our private group site has a large area for playing sports (we’ll bring the horse shoes, Frisbees, footballs and volleyball net). The casual schedule allows plenty of time for hiking, swimming, canoeing, beachcombing, shopping, sightseeing, and of course, the spontaneous Bigfoot search!

KOOM-BI-YAH!

When the sun goes down, the fun is just getting started. The bonfire will be surrounded by tiki-torches and good spirits. Grab your guitar and favorite beverage and join us as we gather around the bonfire and unwind. BEACHFOOT bonfires have always been a source of spontaneous music, laughter, fellowship and fun! Did somebody say PARTY?

LOCATION…LOCATION…LOCATION

River Edge is a group campground nestled on the banks of the Alsea River, surrounded by large Sitka spruce, Douglas fir, alder trees and blackberries. Groups of families and friends enjoy the area for its great fishing opportunities, as well as its scenic beauty…prime Bigfoot country! There have been numerous sightings in this area. River Edge Campground is just a short 26 miles (30 minutes) from the beautiful Pacific Ocean!

ACCOMODATIONS

The premise of BEACHFOOT is a group campout in the great outdoors. But for the more “delicate” there are a number of motels within 30 minutes of the camp (Waldport to the West or Corvallis to the east). If you are coming from I-5, Corvallis is probably your best bet for last minute stocking up on food, beverages, ice, firewood and fuel. There is a small mercantile in Alsea (15 minutes away) where you can buy some basic essentials. Nearby Newport hosts two historical lighthouses (Yaquina Head and Cape Lookout); as well as the world famous Oregon Coast Aquarium (once the transitional home to the famous killer whale, “Free Willy”). Bring your binoculars and a camera as you may spot a resident grey whale...or Bigfoot! The schedule is intentionally flexible in order to accommodate your needs.

A MESSSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER

The idea for BEACHFOOT came to me one day as I reflected back on the brief moments we researchers had to chat as we crossed paths at various conferences and symposiums. I lamented the fact that such brief encounters rarely permitted us the privilege of genuinely getting to know one another on a more personal level. For my part, I found myself in the awkward position of being friends with numerous individuals who, for whatever reason, were at odds with one another. These misunderstandings, personality conflicts and outright animosity between many researchers appeared to me to be the unintended consequence of simply not truly knowing one another.

Then I thought to myself…”What would happen if I could provide a venue wherein prominent researchers could come together in a casual setting to simply get to know one another on a more personal level? Thus BEACHFOOT was born...an invitation only, casual gathering of researchers, relaxing together, without the burden of having to entertain an audience. Over time, we have requested volunteers to share their latest work with their fellow colleagues. BEACHFOOT is a one of a kind event which allows researchers from around the world to socialize, network, and share their collective experiences. The name "BEACHFOOT" is derived from my decision to hold our gathering on the beautiful Oregon Coast.

The entire point of BEACHFOOT is to allow fellow researchers, who normally would never meet, to socialize and network in a very relaxed atmosphere. No one is expected to "perform" for an audience. As a result, BEACHFOOT has fostered many new friendships which otherwise may never have happened.

This year marks the 7th anniversary of an idea that has grown into a truly unique event. If you are a recipient of this invitation, I encourage you to take advantage of this rare opportunity to spend four days in the company of legendary Bigfoot researchers in the beautiful temperate rainforest of the Oregon Coast Range. I sincerely hope to see you there!

Beast Regards,
Todd M. Neiss

See You There!
